Biodiversity of western Ghats was explained to the students by Mr. Rahul Khanolkar with the help of numerous slides. Sunday 11th Oct. was a nature trail and adventure sports. Students were taken to Chorla ghats in bus provided by NS Pai associates.
Students were taken in the thick forest for the trail and they experienced the thick forest of western Ghats. Resource person Mr. Rahul showed them flowers and insects and other things on the trail. Students had first-hand experience of leeches in the forest. After the trail they were taken to valley crossing. Initially few of them were reluctant but after few brave students and few brave Rotarians took part, the fear of the students vanished. All the students experience the thrill of crossing valley hanging on to the ropes.
After sumptuous lunch the students were dropped to the Belgaum. Chairman Rtn. Manoj pai took all the pains to make this event a great success. Congratulations to Rtn. Manoj. Few Rotarians were also present for the event to help and support Rtn. Manoj. We thank Mr. Rahul Khanolakar for all the efforts and time he spared for this event. We thank Innerwheel members for taking time and accompanying, especially girl students. Overall it was a great exciting event enjoyed by all.
