Our Club
The Rotary movement in Belagavi began with the formation of Rotary Club of Belgaum on the 5 th December 1941, with 18 members.
Ours is the second oldest club of the RI District 3170, and also a leading club engaged in Community, Vocational and International service. After 79 years of continuous community service, our club has 97 members.

SKIN BANK PROJECT
Skin Bank is a novel concept where an individual has an opportunity even after death to save lives of burns victims. India records 70 lakh burn injury cases annually.
KLE-Rotary Skin Bank, a centennial project will be established at Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital for the benefit of community in and around Belgaum.It will be a Global grant project, RID 7255 with Rotary Club of Locust valley, Long Island has consented to be our overseas partner. The Project once completed will be saving lots of lives and economic loss due to Burns injuries.
HAPPY SCHOOL PROGRAM
Improving the quality of Village life by providing solar lighting, pure drinking water, check dams, rainwater harvesting and Improving hygiene.
Signature project of our club this year is to provide school benches and adoption of villages for which a committee for next 5 years is constituted.
A committee for 5 years has been constituted (2014-2019) under chairmanship of PDG Avinash Potdar.
Project Launched under Rotary Literacy Mission of Providing Happy Schools.
EYE Bank project
Out of the 15 million Indians in the dark due to Blindness, 3 million suffer due to corneal blindness. A vast number of CORNEAL blind people (3.8 million) need corneas for the restoration of their vision, but the procurement of corneas in the whole of the country is only 16,000 per annum while the number of transplants carried out is only about 7,000 per annum.This global Grant project Rotary Club of Belgaum and Netradarshan Super Specialty Eye Hospital will be a great boon for the community.
