Sir, you having been recommended to me as a good glass blower, I feel willing to gain your employment, provided you feel disposed to accept of my proposals which are as follows- Five Dollars per Ln Foot for blowing + Flatning 6 by 8

7 by 9 for all glass of the second quality and two Dollars Twenty Five Cents per Ln Ft for all glass of first quality of (a----) Larger than 7 by 9. Settlements & payments (one) in two months and with regard to privileges to such blowers and his familys house rent, garden ground, Fire wood standing & Pasture for (one cow) to be (free). We purpose to (sett fire) to the (Furnace) about the first of (next) month you will (please) to give my respects to Thos. Joslin saying to him that I shall be well pleased to have him as one of our blowers giving him every advantage with you and others.
Six in number have already signed for this (Furnace) three of them from Bristol Factory should you and Thos. (conclude) to engage only two more will be wanting for which I shall make dependent on you to procure for (me) providing you can obtain such workmen as will be advantageous to the company I (shall) expect an immediate answer from you that I may know who accepts my offer and by what time (precisely) you will be here some (Larn) made (applications) for Pots but (have) defer making any furthering agreements until such time as I may Learn from you.
