THIS INDENTURE, made the twenty fifth day of July in the year Eighteen hundred and thirty-six BETWEEN Isaac G. Robinson and Catherine his wife of the town of Watervliet of the first part, and Levinus A. Lansing of the same place of the second part WITNESSETH that the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and twenty five dollars to them hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, released, enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, release, enfeoff and confirm unto the said party of the second part, and to his heirs and assigns forever ALL that certain lot piece or parcel of land known as the west half or moity of lot number one hundred and nine on the east side of Ohio Street in the fourth Ward of the village of West Troy and being forty five feet wide on Ohio Street and extending the same width sixty feet in depth TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above bargained premises to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the sale and only proper use, benefit and behoof of the second part his heirs and assigns forever PROVIDED ALWAYS and these presents are upon this express condition that if the said parties of the first part pay to the said said party of the second part, the just and full sum of three hundred and twenty five dollars and the interest that may accrue on the same in the following payments to wit one hundred dollars and interest on the whole sum on or before the twenty fifth day of July A.D. 1837 which will be in the year Eighteen hundred and thirty seven and one hundred dollars with the interest of two hundred and twenty five dollars on the twenty fifth day of July in the year Eighteen hundred and thirty Eight and also one hundred and twenty five dollars with interest on the same on the twenty fifth day of July in the year Eighteen hundred and thirty nine lawful interest annually until paid according to the condition of a certain bond or writing obligatory bearing even date herewith executed by the said party of the first part, to the said party of the second part, then these presents and the said bond or writing obligatory shall cease determine and be null and void, but in case of the nonpayment of the said sum of three hundred and twenty five dollars or any part, thereof or the interest aforesaid or any part, thereof so to become due at the time or times above limited for the payment thereof then in every such case it shall and may be lawful for the said party of the second part, his heirs, executers, administrators and assigns, to grant, bargain, and sell the said premises or any part or parcel thereof with the appurtenances at public vendue and on such sale to make and execute to the purchaser or purchasers his or their heirs and assigns forever, good ample and sufficient deeds of conveyance in the law pursuant to the statute in that case made and provided, rendering the overplus moneys (if any there be) to the said parties of the first part, their heirs, executers or administrators after deducting the costs and charges of such vendue and sale as aforesaid, AND it is also agreed by and between the parties to these presents that until the said principal and interest moneys shall have been paid in full it shall and may be lawful for the said party of the second part himself his heirs or assigns to keep the buildings erected upon the lands above conveyed INSURED against loss or damage by fire AND these presents shall operate to secure the repayment of the premium or premiums paid for affecting or continuing such insurance IN WITNESS WHERE OF the parties of the first part have here unto set their hands and seals the day and year aforesaid.

STATE OF NEW YORK, RENSSELAER COUNTY ss. On the 14th day of September A.D. 1836, Isaac G. Robinson & Catharine his wife came before me and severally acknowledged that they had executed the with in or forgoing conveyance or instrument and the said Catharine on a private examination apart from her husband acknowledged that she executed the said conveyance freely and without any fear or compulsion of her said husband and I further certify that I know the persons who made the said acknowledgement to be the same individuals described in and who executed the said conveyance or instrument.
