Daniel Robinson's inventory from his insolvency papers does actually list "2 Children - 1 Frying Pan."
Why?
When I asked The Legal Genealogist she suggested Daniel was making sure the judge knew he had children to prevent imprisonment. That does make since, but the placement on the inventory is odd. Since Daniel Robinson's son, Isaac, became a master mason, I think there is also a chance he might have possibly sent the boys off into apprenticeships. But what of the frying pan?
