1. The HUD

Crane Status (off/idle/active), Hook height above ground, Gasoline, Flight level, Vario, Speed, Position, Artificial horizon, Multidisplay/Collective, Camera status

Crane, activate - deactivate
Trigger button. Use channel -4422003 for your own scripts and functions
Gasoline, green: Ok, yellos 10% or less. Turns to red if fuel level is under 5%
Alt/RAlt, 3rd possibility to switch alt display. (Acustic Warning if flight level above ground is lower the 5m and speed is faster 10m/s
Speed, no function button
Compass and sim position display
Artificial Horizon, shows pitch and roll from the K-Max
Menu, opens the main menu
Camera Presets, toggles between 5 camera presets. (Lock, Follow, Dynamic1, Dynamic2, Topview, Off
2. Chat commands
After sit in the k-max touch the menu button to get the main menu.
Other way: using chat commands:
> 'START' / 'STOP' for the engine
> 'L' for position lights
> 'P' toggle autopitch > Heli try hold level with collective/pitch
> 'A' switch display between level above sea and real altitude above ground
> 'T' toggles turbulences and crosswinds ON/OFF, default setting is ON!!!
> 'R' instead the trigger button on HUD
> 'REFUEL' if gasoline empty (make sure you wear the HUD)
> 'logo + UUID' from your own 512*256 texture. Changes the side texture on the body
Example: 'logo 2ca95d01-3685-bc09-a250-7cdf57fa70b5' set the default K-Max texture
Example: 'logo ad0733cb-ab13-a492-d490-4fc6f976eb2a' set the default FireMax texture
Make sure your (alpha)texture has a side relation from 2:1 otherwise your texture will be streched and this look por. Example [256*128 or 512*256]. Bigger makes no sense but longer loading time.
> 'rename + yourname' add yourname to the K-Max name. Take back your changed heli in your INV!
To see the commands again type: 'help' in public chat
3. Take off and fly:
- Start the engine with menu or chat command (takes 20 seconds)
- If your K-Max is at ground: Use FDW/BACK to drive with your heli from/to parking position
- Add pitch (collective) to 51% > heli beginns to rise... (50% pitch is neutral hovering without movement in any direction)
- Touch FWD (Cyclic) DO NOT HOLD FWD BUTTON! > Heli takes nose down and get fwd-speed but lose altitude. Add collective to compensate this... Watch your speed and altitude...
- SHIFT+LEFT/RIGHT lets you move your heli sidewards (not in mouselook!)
Hint: 53-63% collective for a smooth forward flight... while you hold flight level with cyclic
- To hover and dont care about height use autopitch, so you can see how collecive have to co-operate with cyclic steering/ pitch from chopper)
4. The Crane
Rezz the "K-Max LOAD EXAMPLE" on the ground. OR make your own: Just put the "K-Max LOAD" script in the root prim from your object. > You can rezz how many things as you like. But never activate more than one!
The trigger button on crane HUD send on chat channel -4422003 the string 'trigger'. You can use this in your own reciver script to create your own function.
The crane has a fixed rope lengt (long line) at the moment you activate the load.
How to use:
Bring your K-Max over the deactivated load at any altitude. You should keep minimum 10 meters distance to the load you will hook up. To see heli and ground use TOP CAM setting in the HUD. Watch your height! Autopitch can help now...
Touch the load one time to activate it > The particle rope will start and your heli and the load are connected but not active. Display shows 'Idle'
Make sure you still hover the load! If not, try to bring your heli back over the load > TOP CAM still helps
Touch the Hook button on the crane hud > now your load is definitly activated and 'hanging' under your K-Max. Display shows 'Active'
Add 1-2% pitch to lift your load from ground (make sure you turn off autopitch)
Congratulation: You flying now a fantastic looking sl-vehicle combination in the air!!
Sim-Crossing: It works! (Most of the time) Be slow while crossing sims! (speed < 3m/s)
If land does not allow move objects, or parcell is full your load will be stucked!
(Your K-Max dosent care about full parcels)
5. FireMax
FireMax HUD without crane controls:
The trigger button does:
if water tank empty: release the water hose
if water tank fuel: release 1/4 water...
How to use:
- Release the water hose
- Bring your FireMax over water > The water pump beginns running.
! Beware from the additional wheight you getting now slow heavier! Add collective to compensate..
- After 20 seconds pump running the water tanks are full > hose goes automaticly up
- Fly over fire and release (chat 'R' or the release button) 4 times until water empty
6. Additional informationes
- Each K-Max or FireMax using a induvidial transmission channel for communication between helicopter - HUD - Crane. No interferences between other helis.
- After get out from K-Max he will automaticly detach the att part from you and rezzing a new one in world (if rezzing is alowed on the parcel you are in) .
- Trigger button send the string 'trigger' on channel -4422003. Use that for your own functions
