The Rockwall Amateur Radio Club (RARC) was formed in 1999 to share and promote amateur (ham) radio and to provide communications for Rockwall area public events and emergencies. The club is open to all licensed hams and to anyone interested in learning more about ham radio and getting licensed are welcome to come visit.

ARRL School Club Roundup February Edition
The February edition of the ARRL School Club Roundup (SCR) was February 9 - 13 and the RISD's Gene Burton College and Career Academy Amateur Radio Club operated under their club's KR5ISD call sign for this event. In their last outing the club scored 14,208 points on 111 QSOs placing them in 6th among senior high school clubs and students participating. This year their preliminary score is 18,898 points on 156 QSOs. We will have to wait till the official results are out before we know how they ranked. The students and instructors at the GBCCA thanks the RARC for supporting and participating in making some of those QSOs.
In addition one student took and passed the technician exam, another student took and passed the general exam, and one instructor, Dr Kay K5ORR took and passed her general exam.
Tuesday Nights with RARC
Tuesday night is meeting night for RARC. Join us each Tuesday night for our on air informational net. We meet on the KK5PP repeater*; 441.525 MHz PL 141.3 at 7:00pm. The only time we do not have this is on the 3rd Tuesday of the month when we have our club meeting.

* Note: In the event that if the above repeater is not operational on net night a backup repeater, K5RKW is available at 442.8375 MHz Narrow FM with a PL tone of 162.2.
