Welcome to the Rockwall Amateur Radio Club
The Rockwall Amateur Radio Club (RARC) was formed in 1999 to share and promote amateur (ham) radio and to provide communications for Rockwall area public events and emergencies. The club is open to all licensed hams and to anyone interested in learning more about ham radio and getting licensed are welcome to come visit.

Upcoming Events
October 4 - Fox Hunt starting at 10:00a and ends at 11:30a. The starting point is expected to be the Rockwall 1st Baptist Church South Annex parking lot. For more information go to RARC Fox Hunts.
October 13 - "Krewe of CW Lunch" at 11:00a at Arboleda's Mexican Grill, 1103 Ridge Rd, Rockwall, TX 75087
October 21 - Club Meeting at 7:00p at Soulman's BBQ, 691 East I30, Rockwall, TX 75087. Go to Monthly Club Meetings for more information.
October 23 - "Hams for Lunch" at 11:00a at Joe Willy's 2006 S. Goliad St. Rockwall, TX 75087

December 6 - The Kiwanis Rockwall Christmas Parade.
December 9 - The RARC Christmas Dinner at Manny's Uptown Tex-Mex in Heath.

Pass The Bill, The ARRL Grassroots Campaign
The ARRL has launched a grassroots campaign to pass the Amateur Radio Emergency Preparedness Act. This legislation would grant Hams who live in HOA or other deed restricted properties the same rights to install antennas on their properties enjoyed by users of television antennas, wireless internet, and flagpoles. The ARRL has made it simple to send letters to your congressmen with a form on their website. You do not have to be a member of the ARRL to use this form.

Fox Hunt October 4, 2025
The weather was great for the RARC's Fox Hunt held this past Saturday (10/4). Gary W5RTX, the fox this hunt located himself at Jewel Park in north in Rockwall a good distance from the starting point. Gary started with a directional antenna, then switched to a whip antenna, and finally a stubby antenna. The participants needed to have the fox generally located or they risked losing the signal all together. The hunt was won by Doug WB5WRC with David KJ5MCY and Jake W5TXX coming in, right behind him.

Tuesday Nights with RARC
Tuesday night is meeting night for RARC. Join us each Tuesday night for our on air informational net. We meet on the KK5PP repeater*; 441.525 MHz PL 141.3 at 7:00pm. The only time we do not have this is on the 3rd Tuesday of the month when we have our club meeting.

* Note: In the event that if the above repeater is not operational on net night a backup repeater, K5RKW is available at 442.8375 MHz Narrow FM with a PL tone of 162.2.
