TechXplore Night at the RISD Gene Burton College and Career Academy

Since the start of the 23/24 school year the RARC has been supporting the RISD Gene Burton College and Career Academy (GBCCA) in starting a ham radio club. In that time the club and its members have donated equipment, labor to get the school's ham stations set up, and time teaching and mentoring the students to become licensed hams.

During the 2024/25 school year the GBCCA held a series of events called TechXplore which was an open house for PK - 8 grade RISD students to come and see some of the opportunities available to them at the Academy. The February 11 event featured Amateur Radio with members of the RARC assisting in the event. Here are a few photos from that event.
