The weather was great for the RARC's first Fox Hunt of 2026. Doug WB5WRC was the fox this hunt and hid the fox in Hickory Ridge park in south Rockwall. Then he got his steps in by trying to blend in as someone out for a little exercise. The participants started zeroing on the park in a little over a half hour, but it was another 20 or 30 minutes before someone actually found the transmitter. Thank you Ed Fong WB6IQN for constructing the ideal antenna for fox hunts. David KJ5MTY who was a very close second in the previous fox hunt won this one. All the participants reached the park and found the fox before time expired. A good time was had by all.
