ARRL School Club Roundup February Edition
The February edition of the ARRL School Club Roundup (SCR) is February 9 - 13 and the RISD's Gene Burton College and Career Academy Amateur Radio Club will be operating under club's KR5ISD call sign for this event. We encourage all club members to get on the air and try to make a QSO with the kids as they are in competition with other Sr. HS Clubs. This SCR week their operation schedule will be:
Dates: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday February 9, 11 & 12
Times: 9a - 12 HF SSB, 1p - 3p HF Digital (with a break for lunch)
Bands and Modes: We will be spotting the club on DXSummit, so check there for frequencies and mode. The digital mode will most likely be PSK31 (FT4/FT8 does not support the exchange)
We realize HF QSO at these close distances are difficult, so the club will also monitor from 1p to 3p:
Monday: VHF Simplex, 147.56mHz, no pl
Wednesday: UHF Simplex 446.050mHz, no pl
Thursday: No VHF/UHF as some of the students will be taking license tests
If you have any questions, please let me know.
