Research Statement

Dr. Wadhwa’s major research interest is to understand the fundamental regulatory mechanisms

associated with tumor metastasis and therapeutic resistance. Metastasis remains the major cause

of cancer associated deaths and a huge clinical challenge with no therapeutic intervention. Her

current research goal is to understand the role of AKT2 isoform in metastatic triple-negative

breast cancer (TNBC) using 3D cellular Models to identify the new targets.
