IoT Wifi Remote Telemetry & Control

Wifi Control in a Single Card!

Here is a simple board that serves a multitude of your remote telemetry and control needs. This board uses a low cost ESP32 Dev board (large DIP module) with associated real world IO to:

  • Measure up to 4 analog inputs (single ended)
  • Sense the state of 4 discrete inputs (open/Gnd)
  • Control 4 outputs (FET open/Gnd)

Onboard LEDs allow trouble shooting at the remote site providing a simple and effective display of the all the discrete IO status. Use your phones browser to access the IoT device remotely, either directly or via your router.*

No in the field soldering is required as the IO is via pluggable headers (5.08mm pin spacing) with nice size screw terminals.

The COTS ESP32 module (user supplied) accepts 5-12v input and has on board regulation to 3.3V. The ESP32-WROOM is available from Mouser or eBay.

  1. Not all software is complete and turnkey.
  2. Software may be developed using the Arduino IDE. Check the web for more information.

This uses the ESP32 Dev Board available from Mouser or ebay (not supplied in the kit). This is NOT pin compatible with the DOIT brand boards.

Coming Soon Advanced Kit

This is essentially the same functionality with a ESP32U which is a small SMD PCB soldered to the larger IO board. The main advantage is this board has a tiny coax connector which can be used to connect an external gain antenna offering better (longer and more reliable) communications.

A 3.3V regulator is provided on board and the CP2101 USB adapter is a separate small PCB.

Software is the same for either unit.
