MMIC Amplifier

NEW!

You can buy blank PCBs and assemblies from lots of vendors on ebay. Here is a BETTER IDEA!

The fully assembled MMIC PCB with features you really want:

  • FULLY Shielded (when you buy the case + SMAs)
  • Operates from +12V DC (internal 3 terminal regulator)
  • Standard SMA connectors (optional kit)
  • Available in a variety of DC configurations including Power-Over-Coax
  • Bias T for Power-Over-Coax (optional kit)

Lots of little features make a BIG difference.

This is a great little MMIC board that runs from +12V. No need to hack another zener or regulator floating in free space or have a separate +5V source. The internal regulator accepts a range of voltages and generates +5V. WAY less chance of blowing up your MMIC. I can provide EITHER 3.3V or 5V regulator, just ask. The active device MMIC footprint accepts either SOT89 or the older X shaped pill package.

The optional metal enclosure fully shields the amp so there is no pickup of nearby FM and TV signals causing compression or intermod. SMA connector selection (bulkhead with long body) and the inset on the PCB provide a clean shielded unit. For BNC fans, just get a female bulkhead connector with 4 mounting holes and the bolt right to the enclosure!

Pads are provided for a User Installed HPF/LPF prior to the MMIC. No need for yet another small box, just build it in.

Available in the following configurations:

  1. PCB with passives and active devices installed.
    1. This allows you to install the active devices of your choice in either SOT-89 or Pill package. You can also select either a +3.3 or +5 regulator, which ever is proper for your device. Send me an email.
  2. Kit with all SMD installed, +2x SMA (not installed) + case (not drilled)
  3. Fully assembled with Qorvo QPS5389ASR device for >+12db of gain, DC-4.5GHz
    1. Please just ask if you need some other device. It is also available with NO MMIC installed.

Please select a purchasing option from the menu below:

Standard Configurations

1. If you also purchase the Bias T, then the Amp will come configured for Power-Over-Coax.

2. If you do not purchase a Bias T it will be configured for External 12V. One of the inductors will be turned 90 deg so that the DC path to the SMA is open. Users can change the config later by placing the L in the correct orientation.
