Prætiridífin

Prætiridífin (also known as Praetiri, Pareti, and PD) is the other major human nation on Vanafanyu. Rather than trying to rebuild the technology they lost in coming to Vanafanyu, they chose to live a more "traditional" lifestyle. They have taken up using a variation on a code based on Latin they used back on earth as their language.

They are noted for their deep admiration and respect for the Quanafi, Yawurenyi, Myuri, Kelvians, and Mircon (collectively "The Ancient Ones").

Their biggest quarrels with the Descubralians come from the PD treatment of women and the very poor, and the Descubralian treatment of the Yawurenyi and Kelvians.
