Initialize a USB

This page describes how to initialize a USB media.

• 1. Launch a terminal emulator. (Try Ctrl + Alt + T keys)

  2. Confirm the name and size of the USB media by the lsblk(8) command.

  3. Unmount the USB device if it is mounted.

  4. Clear the partition table in the USB media.

  5. Caution: Don't add a number to the device name.
