This page describes how to install LinuxMint. The following list shows the procedure to install.
Nevertheless, I don't recommend installing Linux Mint onto a USB memory stick.
Boot up a Live Linux Mint.
Attach a USB memory stick to be installed which capacity should be nominal 32GB or larger.
Initialize the USB memory stick to be installed.
Launch GParted(Gnome Partition editor) by choosing Menu -> Application --> Administration --> GParted or typing "gp".
Open "Install Linux Mint" on the Desktop.
Choose your language and click "Forward".
Choose your timezone.
Choose your keyboard layout.
Set your information.
Right click a partition to be a root and select "Assign to /", and click "Forward" button.
Click "Forward" button..
Click "Apply" button.
Launch Control Center.
Click "Hardware" and open "Power Management".
Change "Display" setting to "Never" and close.
Click "Look and Feel" and open "Screensaver".
Clear all checkboxes and close.
Wait until a following message appears.
Eject the DVD media, click the "Yes" button to reboot.
Login and press Ctrl + Alt + T keys to launch a terminal emulator.
Update software package, and install GParted(1).
$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt install gparted -y
Select menu --> Applications --> Preferences --> Language settings.
Open the language support
Enter your password.
Select English and click "Install language packs".
Wait until the following window appears.
Right click the task bar, and select "+ Add to Panel..."
Click the pane and press Ctrl + End keys.
Select "Workspace Switcher" and click "Add" button.
Minimum settings are completed.
