What's New in Robert's Rules, 11th Edition?

The 11th edition of Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised (RONR) was published on September 27, 2011. This workshop will highlight the new and clarified rules and features of this new edition, and the companion RONR In Brief, 2nd edition. Join Professional Registered Parliamentarians Paul McClintock and Kevin Connelly as they detail what's new in Robert's Rules.

    • What: A Free Workshop on What's New In Robert's Rules, 11th edition.

    • When: Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 12:30 pm - 3:00 p.m.

    • Where: High Point Branch Library, 3411 SW Raymond St, Seattle, WA 98126.

Robert's Rules of Order, first published in 1876, underwent a major revision in 1970 (7th edition) and name change to Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised. In their ongoing commitment to meeting changing needs and in clarifying rules, the authorship team launched the 11th edition with a list of 120 changes and clarifications from the 10th edition (http://www.robertsrules.com/changes11.html). See http://www.robertsrules.com/history.html for the dates of the 11 editions.

The workshop presenters attended the 11th edition book launching events at the National Association of Parliamentarians convention in Florida in September and will present what is new in the eleventh edition based on the national convention presentations and their own observations.
