Learn Parliamentary Procedure

Here are some ideas on how to learn parliamentary procedure.

On your own:
  • Read Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised In Brief.
  • Get Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised and take the online practice test of 300 questions for NAP membership at www.300questions.org.  And/or download them and print them from NAP's website.
With others, locally:
  • Join a local Unit of the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP).
  • Become an officer of the unit.
  • If there is no local unit, contact your state association or NAP for assistance in starting one.
  • If there is no way to join a local unit, consider joining eNAP, a study group that has 6 online meetings per year.
