"Robert's Rules of Order" is a generic title first given to the first edition published in 1876 of Pocket Manual of Rules of Order for Deliberative Assemblies by Henry Martyn Robert. The 12th edition is the current one, published in 2020, continuing the title of the 7th edition (1970), Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised (RONR). A timeline of all editions is on page vi of the 12th edition (shown below), and online at the Robert's Rules website. The 4th edition (Robert's Rules of Order Revised) is the most recent that is no longer protected by copyright, and this has led to many "knock-off" cheap paperbacks being published with "Robert's Rules of Order" in the title, printing the 4th edition (or earlier), perhaps with illustrations or additional notes, but these are not especially useful. The public domain text of the 4th edition is online for free.

Starting with the 10th edition of RONR, the authors have published a companion abbreviated volume called Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised In Brief (RONRIB), covering the most used parts of RONR and with citations to RONR. The 3rd edition (2020) of RONRIB corresponds to the 12th edition of RONR.

RONR and RONRIB are available in paperback and hardcover (RONR only) and in e-book format on Amazon Kindle. As of today (01-15-2021) it is expected to soon be available on CD-ROM. The National Association of Parliamentarians also sells both paperbacks spiral bound, which keeps it open easily hands free, useful when typing a quote from it.
