Le risorgive

Location

This picture was taken in the province of Treviso, in north-eastern Italy in the northern hemisphere. Its coordinates are 45 degrees north and 12 degrees east.

Physical landscape

In the background, I can see some tall, yellow, skinny, colorful, scattered trees which leads me to think that the season is autumn. I can see the river Sile and some short, dark green, floating plants that are peeking out from the water. In the foreground, I can see some bushes which are protruding from the surface of the crystalline water. I can see the reflection of the sun and some shadows on the water. The water is limpid and calm. I cannot see them, but I think that there are animals in the river like trouts and ducks with their ducklings.

Human Landscape

In this picture I can see a group of people that are wearing life jacket so that if they fall in the water they will be able to float. They are rowing on the river Sile in the Restera, near Treviso. They are using paddles to move against the flow of the current.

Environment Impact on Humans

Despite not seeing any factories in this picture I think that there could be examples of activities in all three sectors. The use of the forest in the background as a source of wood is a primary sector activity. There may be some secondary sector activities, like factories, throughout the province. The people using the canoes, which are possibly rented, are an example of leisure and tourist activities in the tertiary sector.

Human impact on environment

I think that humans have barely interfered with the environment so I think that the human impact on the environment is minimal.
