Casier

This picture was taken by our teacher in southern Europe, in the province of Treviso in a small town called Casier which is in the region of Veneto, located in the north-east of Italy. The coordinates of the Restera are 45.6300°N12.2602°E.

Physical landscape

In the left part of the photo, in the foreground we can see a tree without leaves. On the right, the river bank is covered by green trees. Along the river bank there are also some bushes and some brownish grass. The sky is light blue with some white cumulus and stratus clouds that you can see behind the trees. The most evident thing that is in the picture is the river Sile which is rippled due to the breeze that must be blowing.

This is a river landscape where there is fish, some birds and ducks. We think it is winter. The time of day might be evening because there is a yellowish amazing light, from the early sunset. The climate is Mediterranean Adriatic because the location is near the Adriatic Sea, which in winter is very fresh and very warm in summer. On the left of the picture, we can see some welcoming, beautiful, imaginative, old, coloured houses and a bell tower near a church and also some street lamps. Observing the centre of the river there is a little, wooden river marker.

Human landscape

We can’t see any tourists maybe because they are having dinner at this time, but we think there could be some near the centre of the small town. In Casier, we think people wear heavy, winter clothes and go fishing in the river Sile, they farm the fields and work in shops, restaurants and bars.

We think people have treated this place normally because despite the built residences many elements of nature remain untouched. However, the place might have been polluted a little.

We like this picture because we enjoy the fact that we can see nature and because the Sile river is amazing in all seasons.
