This is a proposed list of recommended tags.Â
When people submit resources and links, their tagging should not be limited to these tags.
These tags should be used to identify if the resource could be used to support a specific area of the curriculum.
The words following the tag name are taken from the National Curriculum for Computing (draft February 2013)
algorithm [sequence, selection, and repetition in programs]
algorithms [how they are implemented as programs on digital devices]
code [a system of symbols and rules used to represent instructions to a computer; a computer program]
control [including controlling or simulating physical systems]
copyright [respect individuals and intellectual property]
data [organise, store, manipulate and retrieve data in a range of digital formats]
data logging [the process of measuring and recording physical quantities with an automated computer program]
debug [detect and correct errors in algorithms and programs]
decomposition [solve problems by decomposing them into smaller parts]
devices [digital devices]
e-safety [use technology responsibly, securely and safely]
execute [programs execute by following a sequence of instructions]
internet [how they can provide multiple services, such as the world-wide web]

These tags cover key stage 1 and key stage 2; if we are to recommend to CAS that they are adopted we should also consider key stage 3 and key stage 4.
