This chapter is dedicated to Mary Priestley (b.1927); granddaughter of William and Kate, and daughter of Rangi. It has been very much a team effort by Mary’s children and their spouses, but in particular Rachael & Ian and Vincent & Helen. Other treasured memories have been shared by Maria, Louis and Michael. Much of the rest was gleaned from the remainder of their siblings and extended family through visits and phone calls. These recollections of their mother pay tribute to her wonderful sense of love and purpose she had for her immediate and extended family. It is a rather long and detailed chapter, so give yourself some time and enjoy the life and times of mother and grandmother Mary Stowers (nee Priestley).
