25th April 1904 -16th January 1982.
Sally as born at home at 47 Cochrane Street Gisborne, New Zealand.
She was educated at Te Hapara School and Gisborne High School.
She went on to become a primary school teacher, she was also a Poverty Bay hockey representative.
She met John (Jack) Arden Scott (31st March 1904 -26th October 1987) at a Gisborne movie theater, they were married in 1925 and they raised seven children.

As Jack was a shepherd, the family moved to different farming locations, though out the Gisborne district, except when he did a stint in the army for four years. At which time the family lived in Stout Street where Sally continued to raise the family.
Once becoming empty-nesters they eventually brought a do up house and retired to 10 Rimu Street, Te Araroa.
Sally and Jack were both avid gardeners, keen on fishing where they won many competitions for the heaviest fish (from a twelve foot Parkercraft with a 10hp Evinrude) and were members of many local groups where Sally was a member and eventually became the President of the Matakaoa Welfare league for four years. She kept a long interest in Maori welfare.
After the tragic death of their youngest daughter Sallie, the beautiful isolation that is Te Araroa had become too isolated for them, so they decided in 1974 to relocate to a self-contained unit in Napier, where they celebrated with family, their 50th wedding anniversary in 1975.
They became members of the local senior citizen club, kept up to date with current events both in Napier and Gisborne through the local library, visited family relatives around the country on a regular basis and both enjoyed a tipple of port at the end of each day.
While on one of the family visits in Gisborne, Sally suffered a massive stroke in July 1981 and was transferred back to Napier hospital where she eventually passed away in the following January.
Jack passed away of natural causes in 1987.
They are both cremated and buried in Taruheru cemetery in Gisborne with Rachel and Stuart’s second oldest daughter, Jean, aged five days.
