Project Points

Project Points are a major assignment under the Summative Category.

HS Actor's Studio & Technical Theatre - complete 100 points/grading period

Points can roll over from grading period to grading period as long as the 100 points are met each time. For example, a student attends 2 drama club meetings and reads a published script which equals 120 points. He will have 20 points to roll over into the next grading period!


10 pts Bring a friend to a drama club meeting that is not in a theatre class

20 pts Attend a Drama Club Meeting

20 pts Per item donated to the theatre Library (Scripts, screenplays, acting technique, design technique, construction technique, etc.)

*No Shakespeare (we have PLENTY)

20 pts Usher one evening of a POP production (multiple evenings possible)

20 pts Per hour of theatre department work (Inventory, construction, clean up, strike, etc)

20 pts Audition for a production (not including in-class auditions)

20 pts Per hour spent at a theatre or music Workshop, Class or Festival

30 pts Perform a solo or duet in Chapel or POP concert

50 pts Attend Fine Arts Productions, Showcase, or Competitions (plays, concerts, etc)

80 pts Read a published play (approved by Mrs. DuPree) and complete Critique Questionnaire

*Cannot be on the English Reading List for any level

100 pts Attend a POP play and complete Critique Questionnaire

100 pts Perform in a POP production (not including in-class productions)

You must get director approval prior to reading a script even if you do not borrow from the theatre library.

You must complete all critiques within one week of your script approval or performance date.

You must provide proof of attendance if attending a production (ticket stub, program, signed note from director, SOMETHING)
