Navy - 3rd Period: 11:35-1:00
This course introduces the student to the theater program at the secondary level. The focus will be the backstage elements of producing a live theatrical performance, such as, set construction, prop and costume building as well as lighting and sound techniques. Although not mandatory, it is highly suggested that students participate in productions beyond the classroom. This class includes a Summative assignment called “Project Points” in which students must earn one hundred points beyond the classroom each grading period. This includes but is not limited to: attending drama club meetings, fine arts performances, workshops and reading plays.
