This is Mrs. DuPree's tenth year at Prince of Peace Christian School. She studied Theatre at The University of Texas at Austin where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Studies in 1999. She also earned her Master of Arts in Theatre Education from the University of Houston in 2015 and is currently earning an MFA in Theatre from the University of Idaho. In her senior year at UT, Mrs. DuPree began working with Salvage Vanguard Theatre and soon became the company’s Production Stage Manager. With Salvage Vanguard Theatre, she toured a production to the International Fringe Festival in New York City, produced a show in a deserted parking lot under a circus tent, ran a booth alone using all fingers and one toe to push buttons and control sliders at the same time, and proudly earned the company’s “Best Production Stage Manager” Award (and Crash Test Dummy) in 2000. She also worked freelance as a stage manager for many companies such as Refraction Arts, Bottom’s Dream (L.A.) and Frontera Hyde Park in Austin, and Kitchen Dog Theatre in Dallas before deciding to put her knowledge to good use teaching high school students in 2002. She has continued her love for Stage Management throughout the years with Lakeside Summer Musicals, Garland Summer Musicals and MainStage Irving. Her high school productions have been nominated for multiple Patty Granville Awards, Dallas Summer Musicals High School Musical Theatre Awards and the Schmidt & Jones Awards.
Mrs. DuPree married her best friend, David, in 2002 who has continued his patience and support through many school theatre seasons! They have three hilarious children, Jack, Lewis, and Taylor who continue to keep her laughing forever and a day and love putting on their own plays at home, the neighbors, and even on campus whenever possible! The DuPree crew live in Plano and are members of Arapaho United Methodist Church in Richardson.
