Manual

The manual is addressed to school authorities, school heads and teachers as well as leadership and teacher educators who are particularly interested in leadership development based on scientific and practical knowledge. The manual presents the PLC-“Doubledecker”-model, discusses its scientific basis and gives a detailed overview based on the empirical and practical experience of the particpants. It also includes theoretical inputs and abstracts of the discussions from the multiplier events, transnational conferences on leadership for teachers’ development and school improvement. Further, it includes inputs on challenging topics such as inclusive education, teaching diversity and integrating refugee children productively.

Guideline

The guideline serves as an advertising booklet that gives an overview on the PLC-"Doubledecker"-model and where to get further information. It reports about targets, routines, timetables, meeting structures, and handling obstacles without giving an insight on the experiences, empirical results etc. Has been printed like a flyer for all partners to be able to hand it out easily at any occasion to advertise the project.

Leadership development has become very much data based within the last ten years and research information rises distinctly and is noticed internationally. Since PLCs for leadership development is operated for the first time and on top of that the PLC-"Doubledecker"-model adds a specific combination for concerted school development, the experiences of the project has been saved through ambitious empirical data in order to enrich the data proved knowledge in leadership education. Also the evaluation report serves upper authorities and political decitionmakers in their process of councelling because they can relate to empircally proofed results and argue data-based.

The evaluation report will provide data from heads, teachers and authorities that will be questioned in a mixed-method design and results will be drawned out of it towards transnational and national perspectives as much as perspectives of different professional groups.

Completely different to the web platform, the project's learning platform for the participants use and for the project group to support the heads learning activities systematicly. The learning platform sets up a shielded environment for the participating heads accompanying their development.

The learning platform contains the material from the multiplier events as PDFs, presentations, documents, lecture notes and on top of that it serves as digital room for interaction and cooperative learning. Offers the material of the transnational meetings and learning opportunities that the members of the transnational project group bring in. There are papers on leadership as much as papers on inclusive education or actual obstacles like integration and teaching and learning successfully in heterogeneous learning groups. The learning platform contains options to download the files, but also to set up forums for the different PLCs, where the participants can discuss. Furthermore, participants who are signed in, can upload files themselves. Last but not least, the heads can invite heads of their region which they want to attache to the idea of the project and encourage to start a PLC.
