Year started with disappointment at work. I did not fit to big corporate structures and very formalised procedures. I felt disappointed with world around me and with myself. The good thing was, they had bicycle storage area and showers for cyclists. So at least going to work and back was fun.
My first physical test was Mt Bogong at Easter. My son in law - Peter, found quite spectacular way up.
Then Puffing Billy run again. This time it was for me much harder than year ago.
Then I made a fantastic tour of Central Australlia, starting from Alice Springs, ending in Darwin passing Uluru, Kathrine Gorge, Kakadu National Park.
The next challenge was skiing. At the beginning was our private Hotham to Falls. This time much less snow and only 3 people - Ania had to stay with her baby. And I felt really tired already in the middle of the tour.
It was my 12th Hoppet. Poor snow again. We had to make 2 circles over Heathy Spur. I completed first circle in 1hr 45 min. It was not so bad, I saw familiar faces around me. But the second circle was a disaster. Pain, many
stops, I took me over 2 hours.
So I pinned all badged on a Hoppet board and wondered: will I manage to make another one?
