Connection Cost Calculation Tool

Dr. William Peter created and delivered a cost calculation program and database for the assessment of wind farm projects, including the consideration of connection options and substation design, while working at Senergy Econnect Australia. Using simple input parameters (e.g., connection voltage, distance from connection point, etc.) the SQL based program retrieved costs from a Microsoft Access database of quotes and returned projected costs with uncertainties. The cost included AC collector design through the Point of Interconnection into the electricity grid.
