Dr. William Peter is the Co-President of Peter Engineering Group, and has first-hand experience working on renewable energy projects in both Australia and North America. He has business development, technical sales, project development, and power systems engineering experience in both the wind and solar industries. He has a doctorate in electrical engineering from Stanford University. Through Peter Engineering Group, he recently acted as the Engineering Project and Business Development Manager for Senergy Econnect, helping develop and implement business and marketing strategies to increase Senergy Econnect's presence in the North American energy market. He won and delivered their first project in California, and he represented Senergy Econnect at conferences and meetings throughout North America. He lead a due diligence report on an acquisition of a U.S. company that went through to completion in July of 2010. He authored a report on the market outlook of the wind, power transmission, and natural gas pipeline sectors that included a forecast of the short and medium term outlook. In Australia, where he worked for Senergy Econnect Australia, an engineering consultancy that specializes in connecting renewable energy projects into the electricity market. William also worked for the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) where he learned about the incorporation of renewable electricity generation from the network operation side. He has served as lecturer at Latrobe University and resident tutor at Ormond College, and he has given dozens of presentations at international conferences and has written several successful research proposals and refereed journal articles. William is now working for SunPower Corporation, serving as their Interconnection specialist for utility scale Solar PV plants, for a variety of projects ranging in size from 5 to 250 MW across the U.S. and Canada.
Thomas Peter provides business management and development services for Peter Engineering Group. With a MBA from Cornell University, he has performed market research on the outlook of the wind, power transmission, and gas pipeline markets in North America for Peter Engineering Group. Thomas was owner and president of Roman Welding and Machinery of Sarasota, a metal fabrication firm with over $2,000,000 of annual revenue. The firm was involved in the design, machining, and welding of a variety of metalwork and construction project, as well as a line of hydraulically driven agricultural machinery. Thomas has an extensive background in the construction and operation of commercial buildings. He also owned a welding, medical, and industrial distributor in the Vancouver, Washington area. He recently finished teaching physics, science, and mathematics at the Sarasota Military Academy of Sarasota.With over twenty five years of experience in running and operating businesses, Thomas brings a practical and extensive business management and development background to the Peter Engineering Group.
Kersti Peter brings environmental and business operational experience to Peter Engineering Group. Through Peter Engineering Group, she is currently acting as Chief Operating Officer for Cambiati Wellness Programs, where she has managed operations for the company from its inception. She has a Master of Environment degree from the University of Melbourne, with a focus in Sustainable Cities and Sustainable Regions. She served as a technical coordinator for the Green Building Council of Australia (GCBA), where she contributed technical analysis and writing for the Green Star building rating system (analogous to the LEED rating tool in North America). Prior to this, she served as an Administrative Associate and Event Coordinator for the Global Climate & Energy Project (GCEP) at Stanford University, where she organized academic events, workshops, and symposia, supported the preparation of technical materials, and administered office finances and contact databases.
