10775A - Spring 2012
Professor: Perez-Xochicale Miguel Angel
Course Highlights
The goals of this course are to provide students with an understanding of discrete–time signals and the analytical tools to analyze and design digital signal processing systems. Upon completion of the course, the students will be able to design FIR and IIR digital filters to meet arbitrary specifications, develop algorithms to implement digital filters using GNU-Octave or other high level languages such as C++, analyze tradeoffs associated with spectral estimation and filter design, design and implement digital signal processing algorithms for applications related to audio processing, speech processing, image and video processing, telecommunications (transmission of audio, video, and data), computer systems, and military systems.
