Spring 2018 STY: Deborah Gross
Debra Gross first realized that teaching was the career for her while working in television and theater. It was during this time that she volunteered at a non-profit organization to help teenage students with their literacy and writing skills. As a student teacher, Debra found that her first experience in a pre-kindergarten classroom was the "best, happiest, and most beneficial." She fell in love with teaching the younger students. Dr. Tolentino, her supervisor, shared that Deborah demonstrated professional maturity and a passion for teaching.
