Survey Status Update

The revised transect plan has certainly indicated some different behaviour from last year, but yesterday was very surprised to come across a cluster of Bechstein like calls in the older part of the forest close to where some recent felling has taken place. One bat was sighted, "big bat" hovering round an ash tree with a very quiet call initially until I left the path to approach the tree. Watch this space while I do some further research to confirm the calls and sightings.

Also, the pips are back out in force with over 2000 calls on 90 recordings recorded yesterday...
