By 2015 we had sold our tractor and slasher, because the forest had taken over completely. Many of the wattles had started to fall with every storm, leaving fallen trunks rotting and making good habitat for wood-dwelling fauna. In the gaps left by the dying wattles, rainforest seedlings, trees and vines, were bursting through the canopy to give an almost 100% coverage. Note that the original cabbage palms are still visible at far right.
