Cub Scout activities are done either as an entire pack or by den (or grade) level.
Pack activities include monthly Friday night or weekend pack meetings, annual Pinewood Derby, weekend pack service projects, and fall and spring pack family camping. The costs for participation in pack activities is included in the Scout's annual fee, due in the fall.
Den activities are tied to rank adventure requirements and electives, and are generally carried out during twice a month den meetings. Each den's parents take turns organizing scheduled activities. Recognizing that "a Scout is thrifty," den activity costs are kept low, taking advantage of free resources as often as possible.
