Graph Colors

· Record colors of vehicles

· Use tally marks to keep track during the event

· Graph the colors counted.

· Questions:

o What colors were the least and most common?

o What colors didn’t your find?

o Make comparisons: How many more, less?

· Create Math Problems:

Vehicle Painting

· Run wheels of vehicles through paint and then across a piece of paper. Use different vehicles and different colos of paint on wheels.

Concepts

· Letter: Tt, for transportation, Rr for rigs, Ww, for wheels

· Number: 4, for the four wheels on a vehicle

· Shape: circle, for wheels and red light, green light

Boxes?

· Wrap several boxes to create an 18-wheeler

· Wrap individual boxes for the display or big rig drawings and writing
