Brain Breaks: Make your brain and body strong!

Want to improve test scores and classroom behavior?

Add a Brain Break!

Physical movement is important for the body and mind. Not only will a Brain Break improve classroom behavior, but a break before assessments will improve student scores. Regular activity breaks help students to stay alert, focus, and remain on task.

Before beginning Brain Break activities in your classroom, make sure there are not health conditions that cause restrictions for students' physical activity.

Let families know that your class will be having daily Brain Breaks which include: dancing, jumping, and running in place. Appropriate shoes, such as sneakers, are encouraged daily.
