Tools For Teachers, Families, and Students

We are in constant search of cool school tools to make teaching and learning fun. You won’t find hundreds of links, just the cool tools we’ve created, plus links we’ve found and use everyday. We’ll explore explicit phonics (Spalding/Orton based in particular), classroom management, positive behavior, math, reading, writing, and much… much more.

I am an Early Childhood Education and Elementary classroom teacher. My B.S. from Warner Pacific College is in Human Development and Education. I also have a M.Ed. in Literacy from George Fox University.

I put my heart and soul into everything I find worthwhile. Teaching kids (my own first) is worthwhile.

Helping someone else who feels the same way, is also worthwhile.

The goal of this website is to make it easier on both of us. Rather than me having to email you a document, dig it out of my files, or find it on my desk (wait... I gave that up for kid computer space, kind of like Lent, but more fun), I decided to create a website of Our Cool School Tools.

Maybe you remember the old Copycat magazine? Boy I miss them. Just like Copycat, feel free to copy. Please leave our website and graphics information on things. Then, other people will be able to find OurCoolSchoolTools.com on line and not have to have you dig something out either.

Why are there ads? To help cover the cost of things like the domain name, graphics, software, etc. Google can give us wonderful tools and search capabilities in exchange for a few ads. They don't pop-up and aren't obnoxious. In fact, Google searches our site to match the ads to our topics. So, in addition to an ad for insurance or a swimming pool, you'll find ads for items of interest to people wanting to use OurCoolSchoolTools. If you ever find an ad that is of concern please let us know immediately.
