If you're looking for music suggestions for a dance lesson, music that you can practice to, a party/dance playlist, or you are trying to learn how to recognize tango dance music, look no further!

Here is a YouTube playlist collection of music that you can tango or Argentine tango to. Tango music is usually written in 2/4 or 4/4 timing. The first teaching rhythm in tango is slow, slow, quick, quick, slow. The hold in Tango is more compact than in other moving dances. The walk in Tango differs from walks in other dances in that it is a staccato action obtained by delaying the follow through of the free leg and foot.

Argentine Tango originated in the West Indies where it was danced only by the lowest classes. The name is from the African Tanganya. The dance found its way into Argentina where it was re-created by the Gauchos in Buenos Aires. It was actually an attempt on their part to imitate the dance except that they danced it in a closed ballroom position. The Tango caused a sensation and was soon to be seen the world over in a more subdued version.

Some of the songs might be repeated because there are different covers and styles of the same song. So if you don't like one version, you might like another version. There is a variety of different styles and genres so you're sure to find something that will suit you!
