How To List Yourself, Your Dance Party, Or Your Ballroom
Whether you are a dance party host, an instructor, or own/manage a ballroom, there are 3 ways to be listed here at the Orlando Ballroom Dancing portal. Each method includes a listing in the big Calendar here.
You have your own website with all of your information and you want this portal to link to it.
You do not have your own website and you would like a page on this portal for:
your biography
your dance party
your ballroom
You do not have your own website and you would like to have a free Google website created for you
1. If you have your own website and would like a link back from this portal, please email at OrlandoBallroomDancePortal@gmail.com with the following information:
Category - is this your personal instructor/host website, your recurring dance party event page, or your ballroom website?
URL - the website URL that you want to be linked
Contact Info - your name and how to contact you.
2. If you do not have your own website and you would like a page on this portal for yourself, please email OrlandoBallroomDancePortal@gmail.com with your contact information and what kind of page you would like (personal bio page, dance party event page(s), or ballroom/studio page). The portal webmaster will get in touch with you to work out the details.
3. If you do not have your own website and you would like to be listed, but you do not want a page here, and instead you would like your own website that you can manage and control yourself (no web programming experience necessary), the portal webmaster is happy to create a website for you, similar to this one, for free. It will be created for free, hosted for free, and all permissions and control will be handed over to you after its creation. You will also be given instruction on how to maintain the website yourself. Your new website will then be linked to from this portal so that people can find you.
Your own website can have the following:
A home page with all the relevant information right up front.
Your biography or an About Us section
Sub-pages in the About Us section if your website is for a ballroom and you want to list multiple instructors/hosts
An event page with the details for each of your special events
A free calendar of events and/or lessons
A blog or announcement page for updates.
A free photo gallery
If you would like a custom domain name (a custom URL), you will be given advice on how to get one, but there will be an annual charge to own and retain a domain name.
