If you're looking for music suggestions for a dance lesson, music that you can practice to, a party/dance playlist, non-traditional salsa music, or you are trying to learn how to recognize salsa music, look no further!

Here is a YouTube playlist collection of music that you can salsa to. Salsa is the Spanish word for "sauce" denoting a "spicy" and "hot" flavor to this popular dance style to a complex mix of many different rhythms. The fusion of an Afro-Cuban beat with enhanced jazz textures results in an aggressive high energy pulse which has become popular everywhere. Many of the patterns are closely related to those of the Mambo and Cha-Cha. There are some that joke that Mambo is merely the ballroom snob's version of the street dance, Salsa.

Some of the songs may be repeated because there are different covers and styles of the same song, so if you don't like one version, you might like another version. There are a variety of different styles and genres so you're sure to find something that will suit you! If you can't see the playlist video, you may need to click on the title of the post to go to the post's page directly. If you still can't see it, please let us know! You can also click on the link to view the playlist on YouTube itself.

To watch a YouTube playlist, all you have to do is click on the "play" button or anywhere in the middle of the player window and the first song will start playing. It will automatically play the next song after the current song is over. If you would like to skip ahead to another song, look for the icon in the top-left of the window that looks like a list with horizontal bars. Click on that icon and the playlist should appear over the video window. In that playlist, you can scroll down to see the list of songs and then click on the video you want to see.
