Board members meet several times during the school year as a whole and work also in smaller committee groups to support the work of Social Studies around the state. 

Board Service is for 1 year (January - January) unless you join the Executive Committee, which asks for a 2 year commitment. 

Ways you can get involved:

• Membership - Networking and supporting OCSS Members around the State
  
  

• Professional Development - Designing and hosting PD opportunities for Social Studies teachers at every level. This also includes specific mentoring support for new and early years educators.
  
  

• Resources - Developing and Curating resources in a central space for Social Studies educators to access and use
  
  

• Connections & Communication - Social networks and communication that keep us all connected to each other and continue to build our reliance on each other and growth together
