Social Sciences teachers continue to experience increasing political and cultural pressure to reject the inclusion of culturally-responsive and critical curriculum in their pedagogy and classroom teaching. This reality is made even more difficult by the isolation educators often feel when they are not given space to reflect, collaborate, and create with one another.
This creative curriculum course is designed for Oregon Social Sciences teachers who want to refresh their critical and reflective practices and engage in conversation with fellow educators about how to integrate anti-fascism and pro-imagination foundations into their pedagogy and practice.
