Invention ideas (2013):
Tooth-size sacks of micro-elements in spaces in the mouth, to slowly release desired substances, s.a. medicines, pain-relief, vitamins, hormones, micro-elements, PH-stabilizer, etc.
Energy harvesting nets of plastic hinges that float on the sea surface, and convert the wave moement into energy. That energy is either stored or transmitted elewhere. That net can be rolled out of the water or sunk for protection from storm. It is cheap to make (recyclable plastic and metal) and transfer, so useful in remote or poor areas.
A smart wind-shield layer for any vehicle, consisting of a dense mesh of quazi-crystals (as in static displays), and organized into a manageable matrix that is manipulated by some processor. That extra layer is generally transparent (99%), and can display:
· Maps, text, incoming road hazards.
· Black blotches that shield from dazzling sun-rays and other cars high-beams. These can be done by calculating the incoming direction of rays relative to the position of the driver’s eyes.
I predict that this is arriving within 3-4 years into the high-end commercial market.
2026: Apparently still not here!
