Realistic fractals:
As part of 3D fractal experiments done recently, these models are built from simplest cubes, cylinders, tetrahedra etc., or more complex building-blocks in some other cases. They are originally written in VRML - Virtual Reality Modelling Language, which enables both true 3D graphics and animation. The fractal aspects are added by the hierarchical nature possible in this language.
