April action is heating up and the 2011 season is off to a solid start. March offered multiple formats and play on some of our best courses.

The TDSA held a successful Green Country Doubles with 58 teams competing.

Next on the list was a 1-day B-Tier, Dynamic Disc Showdown at The Lodge with 104 players. The LSDisc Tulsa Pro Am C-Tier was held at Chandler Park the next day. This event had 50 players.

Joe Rotan and his Twisted Flyer crew including Johnny Zumwault held another classic Duncan Hillclimber. This event saw players from several states including the famous artist Skeet Scienski.

Several local players including yours truly are going to the US Masters Championships in Huntsville TX. This event is April 8th, 9th and 10th at the beautiful Shawshank course.

The same weekend is a legendary tournament, the Chandler Stock Tornado Open. Scott and Marie are going to officiate the proceedings and this year is bound to be the best yet.

Get out and support your local Disc Golf scene. Many clubs are beginning their weekly mini's and these are a great opportunity to practice in a tournament setting and support the local club.

A special event, the Tye F. Cunningham Memorial tournament is a B-Tier will be held April 23rd and 24th in Edmond. Joe Rotan is listed as the TD.

April wraps up with the 3rd annual Centennial Cup in Owasso OK. TD's Dave Wise and Dough Duff have teamed up to run what will be a solid one day event on April 30th. Players will have a chance to throw an Ace and win $5,000.00!!!!!

Stay tuned for news updates after the events.

If you have not renewed for 2011 now is a great time. If you are a member of an affiliate club, such as the TDSA, you can save $5.00. I renewed online and it was a breeze.

Stay posted for more updates. I will write a newsletter each month with recaps and announcements.

Thanks for checking in and please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
