 About Us

At Neighborhood Tool Libraries, membership works just like a gym - but instead of barbells and fitness studios, your monthly dues cover a variety of tools, equipment, and workspaces.

What makes us special?  

We are affordable (with sliding scale & volunteer options).  We have a nice assortment of tools for most household applications (and can make new purchases upon request).   Members also rate tool performance, and these rankings available to members.  And tool libraries can be set up almost anywhere - from detached garages to unused storefronts to mobile trailers!

 Pricing & Scheduling

How it works:

1. Membership:  $50/month (w/ $250 deposit)

2. Volunteering:  most folks volunteer once a month (or pay extra $50) but you can work on projects while at the shop

3. Management:  all members volunteer to look after the place, with Block Captain as head.
