The PIPDPCyL Group

The multicenter group PIPDPCyL is a team of peritoneal dialysis doctors and nurses from different hospitals in Castilla y León (one of the regions of Spain), formed to study different aspects of PD, mainly those related to ultrafiltration. We fundamentally study factors outside the concentration gradient and peritoneal permeability that act on Ultrafiltration in PD, such as Intraperitoneal Pressure (IPP), Systemic Overhydration (OH), Hypoalbuminemia (HA), etc. The group's activity began in 2016 bringing together Peritoneal Dialysis physicians and nurses from the Clínico and Río Hortega hospitals in Valladolid and the Río Carrión Hospital in Palencia, and was later extended to include the hospitals of Segovia, Avila and Burgos, all of them in Castilla y León.
