Overview
This PC application accepts encrypted or plaintext UDP messages from a communicator, validates checksums and returns ACK or NAK to the originating communicator as appropriate. Messages are then queued and delivered to an automation system using DC-07 protocol via TCP/IP. Messages are logged, and details are shown for the last received message. Extensive error checking and logging is implemented.
Product Features
Communicator-Side Features:
- receives UDP DC-09 messages from an IP digital communicator
- decrypts 128 bit AES encryption if needed
- validates CRC in messages, shows both expected and observed CRC
- returns ACK or NAK message to communicator as appropriate
- displays individual message elements, including: account number, account prefix, receiver number, message data, time stamp
- displays IP address of transmitter
- logs all activity to a text file
Automation-Side Features:
- translates messages to DC-07 and queues them for retransmission to automation systems
- TCP/IP protocol used to connect to automation
- supervises transmission to automation with retries and reconnection attempts as needed
- full status display panel for automation connection
- shows traffic sent to automation
- originates test messages to automation with a programmable interval
- capacity for 120 transmission per minute
Options
While the standard product is limited to testing environments and proprietary monitoring, it can be built in a private-labeled version for any desired production monitoring requirement.
